We heard the heartbeat on the doppler this morning! I tried yesterday and I could not find it. I was searching too low because this morning I put the doppler higher up and there it was! I guess the second time around the uterus expands a lot faster. Heart rate was strong and fast. It is hard to get an accurate reading of the rate on that doppler, but it ranged from 140-172. I'm hoping for the higher side since there is an old wives tale that claims the faster heart rates are girls. Oliver was always around 140. We'll find out the sex in another 9 weeks.
The symptoms so far have been very mellow. I have been tired, but some days I don't feel all that exhausted as I did earlier on. I was starting to think yesterday that I have no symptoms so I'm either really lucky or that it could be a bad sign. After hearing the heartbeat this morning I know all is good. I have bouts of nausea here and there and mostly in the evenings. My appetite is all over the place. Sometimes I'm starving, but lately I can't seem to eat much. No constipation either. I was soooo constipated with Oliver, but this time around I'm super regular and sometimes even twice a day. My face has been oily and I have a lovely little patch of pimples on my forehead which I've never had before, ever. My sleep has sucked. I wake up once in the middle of the night and it is hard to fall back to sleep, and then I keep waking up early around 5:30 am. I read somewhere that that is a pregnancy symptom. Who would of thought? Another different symptom is my boobs are not tender or soar at all. They haven't even grown yet. I'm wondering if that is because I only stopped nursing in December so most of my milk ducts are still there.
Hoping the rest of this pregnancy goes smooth.
